Nona's Hyper Empathy
Nona has the natural ability to see what people are feeling and to understand them intuitively from just a small glance. However! Nona is also extremely naïve and doesn't fully understand even the people she's closest to at the best of times. But she does know if someone is lying, she's able to identify romantic feelings and sexual attraction at a glance, and she can look at someone who is joking to cover up how miserable she is and claim that she's the saddest girl in the entire world even though nobody else notices it.
This ability is superhuman, but it's not mind reading! Nona doesn't really understand how people work, she just reads every movement, mannerism and gesture in their body like it's her first language and makes conclusions from there, and it's virtually impossible to hide it from her. As an example of the limitations, she can immediately tell if someone is lying but she can't infer the truth from that, she just knows they've presented a falsehood.
As a disclaimer though, she's extremely unlikely to reveal anything she learns unless she's directly prompted and given permission from the person in question because she doesn't want people to be mad at her.
